FRIENDS OF ED BROWN SENIOR CENTER AT RANCHO BERNARDO MAJOR GIFTS PROGRAM
The Friends of Ed Brown Major Gifts program provides ongoing and meaningful financial support, making a difference in the lives of neighbors, friends and family members in our community. There are six levels for individuals and organizations to give, and your can make your contribution either annually or with a lump-sum payment. Please don’t ever hesitate to contact us with your questions.

PLANNED GIVING – MAKING PHILANTHROPY POSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE
It’s sometimes difficult to make large charitable donations. Yet even someone of modest means can help by using our planned giving program – a wonderful way of ensuring your vision for the community lasts for generations to come.
Planned giving helps those without the means to make an immediate cash contribution, but who still want to be part of the long-term solution. These planned gifts are set up to allow donors to provide gifts that might not otherwise be possible. Some planned gifts even provide surprising income and tax benefits to the donor.

LEGACY GIFTS
Legacy gifts take effect after we’ve passed from this world. They are often the most significant gifts we may ever make, reflecting our life’s values. Their importance to the work of the Ed Brown Senior Center at Rancho Bernardo cannot be overestimated. There are several legacy gifts that we hope you will consider:
- Will or Trust: Leave a bequest to EBSC in your will or trust for a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or whatever may remain after all other bequests are satisfied. When designating EBSC, you should use our official title and address.
- Retirement Plan: Name EBSC as beneficiary of some or all of your retirement account assets such as your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), Keogh, or other qualified plan.
- Insurance Policy/Annuity: Name EBSC as first, second, or contingent beneficiary of a life insurance policy or annuity.
- Life Income Gift: Several varieties are available, including the Charitable Gift Annuity.

Artwork, antiques, jewelry, stamps, coins, political buttons, collections, cars, boats, planes…you name it, and the donation can help us do our work at the Ed Brown Senior Center.
You can sell the item and donate the proceeds to the Center. Or you can donate the item directly to the Center and we’ll handle the details. Either way, we appreciate your contribution and the extra services we’ll be able to offer…because of your generosity.
CAR DONATIONS
Donating your car to the Ed Brown Senior Center may be the perfect answer for you without it costing you anything out of pocket. When it’s time to give up your keys, donating your car to the center will give you tax benefits and support our services to the community.
