Monday’s Laughter Yoga
Everyone knows laughter is the best medicine. And soon you can laugh every other Monday in a Laughter Yoga class.
Laughter Yoga is a simple yet profound wellness and exercise routine. This exciting new practice has been featured in many publications such as TIME magazine, National Geographic, Wall Street Journal, and the Los Angeles Times.
The concept of Laughter Yoga is based on the fact that the human body cannot differentiate between fake and real laughter. Research indicates that one gets the same physiological and psychological benefits from either. Just 10-20 minutes of fake or real laughter results in such things as increasing the supply of oxygen to the body and boosting the immune system. It also energizes and recharges the metabolism, making one feel fresh and energetic. Laughter yoga will exercise your heart WITHOUT having to do a cardio session. IT IS ALSO GREAT FOR THE BRAIN AND YOUR MOOD!
Monday’s Laughter Yoga is for everybody: young and old, fit or not, active and sedentary. This class combines deep breathing and light stretching along with simple laughter exercises which when done in a group leads to joyful laughing. No sense of humor or jokes needed. Instructors will show you step by step how to breath, stretch and laugh and you will walk out of class feeling great! Every second and fourth Monday of the month
at 4:00 p.m.
